A climber stretches for a handhold on this contemporary photo frame.
The climber that I sculpted here is actually based on several photos I took during the 1980s (I was climbing back when Black Diamond was still called Chouinard). I am trying to capture the feel of a traditional climber, with cams and chocks on a shoulder sling, tight fitting sticky rubber shoes, and a chalk bag hanging in the back. One hand is in an undercling grip while the other reaches out for the next hold.
This is an excellent rock climber gift. Buying gifts for climbers can be tough, especially if you don't know much about climbing gear. It's a fabulous gift, especially if you include a picture of yourself or a loved one. Or put a photo of yourself on your favorite route. Or how about that mountain that you've always dreamed of climbing?
