Privacy Policy
I hate companies that say "We value your privacy" and then have a ten page privacy policy. They can't really value my privacy if they have dozens of reasons why they will share my information, and agreeing to it is a condition of even doing business with them. A privacy policy should be simple, just like mine:
I will not share your information with anyone, ever.
I don't sell my mailing list to marketing companies or spammers. I don't give it to "partners" or "affilates" or any shady loophole junk like that. The ONLY reason I would give your information to anyone is to comply with a subponea or other legal requirement. I have been keeping people's personal information since 1993 and that has not happened yet.
I am very careful how I handle your personal information. First, all personal data is stored on a computer that is
not connected to the internet. Almost every data theft you hear about was done by computer hacking.
Second, I do not keep credit card information at all. Once your card is processed I delete the data electronically and shred any hard copies.
Third, my computer is password protected and my office has security. Maybe ninjas or Navy SEALs could get in, but most data thieves are not this persistent. Why should they be? There's plenty of easier targets out there.
Unlike most big companies, I really DO value your privacy. I am honored to be custodian of your personal information and will guard it with the same zealousness as I do my own.
Feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions.
